Chi ricorda una delle prime scene di Mad Max quando Steve Bisley sale sulla Kawasaki z1000 della polizia di contea e parte come se avesse alle calcagna il peggior demone pronto a rincorrerlo…? Ecco, credete che una moto di serie possa partire in quel modo? Noi di Anvil possiamo solo dire che dopo aver portato a casa la Suzuki gsx 750 del 82 che vedete in foto e sopratutto dopo averla provata…la gomma che fuma e la moto che parte in derapata da noi è una cosa all’ordine del giorno. La Suzuki GSX 750 pur essendo una moto molto pesante, per la precisione 229 kg, e ingombrante è una moto che ti sa far divertire. Molti potranno rimanere abbagliati dalla sua parvenza docile e alquanto plasticosa soprattutto nei modelli antecedenti al 82 in cui il faro quadrato fa passare la cattiveria e la voglia di accelerare anche al più smanettone dei tempi che furono. Parliamo di un motore quattro cilindri in linea, raffreddato ad aria, da 747 centimetri cubici, le 8 classiche valvole vengono sostituite dalle 16 che caratterizzano questa tipologia di motore da quella del modello antecedente, per un totale di 79 cavalli. Nel nostro caso parliamo del modello del 82 o “la terza versione del GSX 750, in cui la moto ha subito diversi cambiamenti estetici e meccanici rispetto alle sorelle. Il faro rettangolare e la massiccia strumentazione sono stati sostituiti, viene utilizzato un faro tondo simile alla quello del GS 750 invece il contachilometri/contagiri ha un look più classico, il motore ha bulloni esagonali invece che viti a stella e monta due clacson invece che uno solo. Tutti dettagli che a noi trà poco non serviranno più…

Who does remember one of the first Mad Max scenes? Exactly when Steve Bisley gets on the County Police Kawasaki z1000 and he starts as fast as he would have a wild beast right behind his back, ready to catch him… well, do you really think that a production motorcycle could start that way??? After we brought home the 1982, Suzuki gsx 750 (the one in the pictures) and after we tried it, we can just say that the smoking wheels and the bike starting in sideslip are perfectly normal to us! The Suzuki gsx 750 is big and heavy (exactly 229 kg) but it is a very interesting motorbike, fun to use! Many could be dazzled by its mild and plasticky look, in particular for the models made before 1982, in which the squared headlamps calm down even the wildest bikers. But we’re talking about an inline 4-cylinder engine, air cooled, 747 cc, which instead of the 8 usual valves( as in the previous models), mounts 16 of them, collecting in all 79 HP. In this specific case, we talk about the 1982 model or “the third version of GSX 750″, in which the motorbike has come under mechanic and esthetic changes. The squared headlamp and the massive instrumentation are replaced by a circular headlamp, similar to the GS 750 one, while the speedometer has a more classic look. The engine has hexagonal bolts instead of star-shaped screws and it has 2 horns instead of 1.
